Changing data paths on networked computers

Note: changing the data path while in "Offline" Status will result in any patient files that are currently "offline" - and created using the old data path - will be copied to the new data path when returning to "Online" status.

Any existing patient files that you wish to store in your new patient files folder will need to be manually copied over to the new folder.

  1. Launch Patient Management by selecting 'Start / Programs / Yaltara Software / Yaltara Programs - Patient Management'

    double click the icon located on the desktop.

  3. Choose "Configure" from the Patient Management menu

  5. Choose "Change Data Path". A box will pop up to help you navigate to the folder you wish to store and access your Yaltara patient files.

    Note: the default data path for Patient Management patient files is: C:/Program Files/Yaltara Software/PatData. Keeping this data path will save patient files to your computer only and not the main computer.

  7. On a networked computer system, click "My Computer" near the top of the list. Browse to the folder you want to be your patient files folder, select it, then click "OK".

    Note: if the drive of the computer that you are looking for does not appear under "My Computer", then you will need to map this drive.

  8. A dialog box will confirm that the data path has been changed.
